ABOUT EIS PERKESO

EIS (Employment Insurance Scheme), is a financial scheme overseen by the Social Security Organisation (SOCSO) that provides financial aid to retrenched employees for up to 6 months. The Malay name for it is Sistem Insurans Pekerjaan (SIP).

Apart from the monetary aid, EIS also assist the Insured Person by providing career counselling, assisting with job search, training and job matching until they are able to obtain gainful employment.

Who benefits from EIS?

EIS covers those who have been retrenched for their jobs as well as those who have had to resign because of personal threats to themselves or to their family members. This includes sexual harassment at the workplace.
